I finally made some time to paint and Testament is finally finished. I know it’s been awhile since I posted painted models but I want to make this a more frequent segment. I recently assembled a few minis that I can hopefully prime and paint. I’ll be posting more photos in the upcoming weeks to show you what’s on deck. Check out some of the pictures of Testament below.

Finally Finished
After months of procrastination and loss of interest in painting, I finished my two Protectorate Warcasters that have been sitting on my table. I found some painting inspiration and they were completed in no time. Reznik2 was a pain but worth it. He looks great on the battle field and hopefully I build a better list for him in MK3. So far, I’m 0-2 but I know I can play him better.
I also finished Durst. I should have finished him a lot sooner but I dropped him and he came apart. I was bummed about it but I dropped him in some cleaner and assembled him. My clumsiness might have been a blessing in disguise however because I pinned him in more places. Hopefully he’s more durable. I haven’t played him in any lists yet but I’m sure I can find something great.
I’m not sure what’s next for the painting table. I have a Devout and Testament assembled but I need to prime them. I really want to put Thyra and unit of Daughters together as well. Sorry This Took So Long
After taking months off of painting this miniature I finally got some inspiration to finish it. With the release of Warmachine “MK3” I want to finish as many miniatures as possible. I’ve finished the horses, the wheels and a wrack. Need to do some touch ups on the horses but that shouldn’t be difficult. Need to start painting the chariot, and finish the base, the other wrack and flags. I should have this done in a month or so.

After sitting on my desk for a few months, I finally decided to start assembling Anson Durst. Thankfully, it was an easy build, with not a lot of parts. I had to pin a few things together and I’m a bit worried about the shield. I’m also putting him on a brick base to match the other paladins in my army. I’ve played two proxy games with him and I’m excited to field him in the coming months.
I’m not abandoning the Reznik 2 build. I just finished assembling parts of his chariot and I need to prime them. I will try finish him before I start on painting Durst.

I finished most of the work on Reznik. I still have to do a few highlights but that will come later. I’m still having trouble with blacks. Getting highlights just right is becoming more difficult. I need to work on mixing my highlight colors and blending but I’m happy with my results. Shading is getting easier and I’m seeing an improvement in my technique. I still have a lot to learn. I will be starting on the horses next and then the wracks hopefully.

With the TFG finished it’s time to put Reznik 2 on deck. I finished clipping some flash and mold lines, and I finished washing him with some soap. Next up, I need to prime pieces and start painting. Going to start with Reznik and then start on the horses and chariot.

I finally finished painting my Temple Flameguard! I’m excited to start working on Reznik 2. I was going to paint Harbinger of Menoth next but I decided to add on her other cloths. Let me know what you guys think.

In preperation for Otaku Recon in November, I decided to build a Protectorate of Menoth display board. Our display at EpiXcon was lacking a diorama element. The tables were great but the model display lacked creativity. Even though KR cases are cool, they do not make great display areas. In the pictures below I show the beginnings of my display board. I just finished painting my last Temple Flameguard model but I still need to finish some of their shields. I also need to finish painting their bases but that should take an hour or two. I have been putting this unit off for two years and they are almost finished.
After I finish the TFG most of my focus will be on Harbinger and Reznik 2. Since Harbinger is already prepped and primed, I decided to work on Reznik 2. The model has some mold lines and flash but it’s easy to clean up. I like working with resin more than metal. He looks challenging to assemble but I’m sure I can get it done.

Finished some prep on my officer and standard bearer and started painting the last two models for the main unit. I’m almost done with my last grunt and unit leader, need to do a wash and finish up the bases. The grunt came off his base, so that will need to be attached before I finish some dry brushing.
These models should be done by this week, hopefully.
