Miniature Mondays: “Meat the Butchers” My Guild Ball Team

Meat the Butchers

After painting Reznik2 and Durst I wanted to paint something new. I love my Protectorate models but I needed a pallet cleanser so, I  picked up a Guild Ball team, The Butchers. I was tempted to pick up the Alchemists or Engineers but the Butchers spoke to me. I wanted to play a team that was more melee focused and straight forward. Here are some pictures of my models before they get a coat of primer. Hopefully I can finish a few of them and start on more Warmachine models.

First model on deck is going to be Boar. He’s an awesome model, rules wise and his sculpt looks sweet. That huge cleaver is going to do some damage! I’m not sure what the paint scheme is going to be but I really like the Protectorate of Menoth colors. I didn’t want to stray from colors I like so I might go with that.

Miniature Mondays: Reznik 2 Update

Sorry This Took So Long

After taking months off of painting this miniature I finally got some inspiration to finish it. With the release of Warmachine “MK3” I want to finish as many miniatures as possible. I’ve finished the horses, the wheels and a wrack. Need to do some touch ups on the horses but that shouldn’t be difficult. Need to start painting the chariot, and finish the base, the other wrack and flags. I should have this done in a month or so.

Miniature Mondays: Servath Reznik, Wrath of Ages

With the TFG finished it’s time to put Reznik 2 on deck. I finished clipping some flash and mold lines, and I finished washing him with some soap. Next up, I need to prime pieces and start painting. Going to start with Reznik and then start on the horses and chariot.

Miniature Mondays: TFG Update

Finished some prep on my officer and standard bearer and started painting the last two models for the main unit. I’m almost done with my last grunt and unit leader, need to do a wash and finish up the bases. The grunt came off his base, so that will need to be attached before I finish some dry brushing.
These models should be done by this week, hopefully.

Miniature Mondays: Temple Flameguard

After finishing Tristan Durant I needed a new project to work on. I wanted to start on Reznik 2 but it seemed like a huge task. Since Anson Durst will be out soon, I decided to finish my Temple Flameguard unit and unit attachment. I’ve finished two models so far and I’m working on them three at a time. Should be finished with them in two weeks if not earlier. The WIP picture shows my current color scheme which is close to the studio.

Miniature Mondays: Tristan Durant is Done!

After weeks of work Tristan is finally finished. I’m happy with this model even though I tried out some new techniques on him. I still need more practice with wet blending and metals which is good since I have more models to paint. I’m currently working on a full unit of Temple Flame Guard and the unit attachment which I will post next week. I will post some pictures below, let me know what you think!

Miniature Mondays: Red Modeling Painting

An artist that I’m starting to follow is Ashton Holbrook, the artist behind Red Modeling Painting. His YouTube tutorials and videos are very informative and have helped me understand many painting techniques. He does a great two brush blending tutorial on the pEyriss video below:
